Before you begin

  • An authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.

Turn on two-step sign-in

  1. In your admin, open Security (admin page).
  2. Under Two-step sign-in, tap Set up.
  3. Confirm it is you, then type your password and tap Continue.
  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  5. Type the 6-digit code it shows, then tap Turn on.

Tip

Save your ten backup codes somewhere safe when they appear — they are the only way in if you ever lose your phone.

Once this is on, every sign-in asks for a fresh code as well as your password.

Add a passkey

Passkeys let you sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock — no password or code to type.

  1. On the same Security page, under Passkeys, tap Add a passkey.
  2. Follow your device's prompt to confirm your fingerprint, face or screen lock.

Warning

One passkey on one device is one lost phone away from locking you out. Add a second passkey on another device, such as your laptop, as a backup.
