Before you begin
- A domain you already own, bought from a registrar such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or BigRock.
- Access to that domain's DNS settings at your registrar.
Connect the domain
- In your admin, open Domains (admin page).
- Tap Add domain.
- Type your domain, like
example.com, and tap Add domain. - Add the TXT record shown to your domain's DNS settings at your registrar.
- We check the record automatically every few minutes. To check straight away, tap Verify now in your store.
Point it at your store
Once your domain is verified, add the record shown under Point traffic here to finish going live — usually a CNAME record. A root domain like example.com (rather than shop.example.com) may need an ALIAS, ANAME or flattened CNAME instead; the page explains your options if this applies to you.
Your store then issues a security certificate for the domain automatically. This can take a little while — choose Check certificate to see the latest status.
Switch it on
- Once the domain says Secured, tap Activate.
- Tap Make primary if you want customers and links to use this address everywhere.
Your built-in .remavio.store address keeps working even after you connect and activate your own domain.
What's next
- Connect your domain automatically: let your DNS provider add the records for you, or see the steps for your provider.
- Send emails from your own domain
